Every pregnancy is a journey. Let me capture yours. Your body is doing an incredibly beautiful thing. Each day you and your little one are growing together. Some days you may not feel like getting in front of a camera but let me asssure you, you will never regret having this moment caputred. You will be surprised how beauitful you can feel during a maternity session. My goal is to use posing, lighting and gorgeous wardrobe to make you feel your best!

These sessions are an opportunity to bond with your partner and allow them to feel more connected to your pregnancy. This is a tangible way your partner can celebrate the new life you are both bringing into this world.

Not your first child? The entire family can be included in these treasured moments. Some older siblings can find it challenging at first to adjust to a new baby in the family. Taking pictures with their pregnant mommy can help them understand that a new person is coming and even get them excited about the baby’s arrival!

You are in center of this production. There are many styles of maternity sessions for everyone's comfort levels. We can achieve fully covered, modest and delicate poses to implied and full nude poses. We use a variety of lighting techniques to flatter every figure. No one is expected to be runway ready but you will feel that way when we get started.

Maternity Photography is a gift to your unborn child. “Mommy, what did you look like when you were pregnant with me?” Wouldn’t it be great if you could answer with a photograph? Your little one will cherish these images their whole lives.

This is an exicting time. Your little one is starting to show their true personality. They are enjoying exploring this crazy world. A cake smash session is a fun and joyful way to celebrate the milestone of your little one's birthday. Enjoy their surprise and curiosity as they dig into a birthday cake for the first time. These sessions are so much fun and we can make it easy, peasy, lemon squeezy.

Princesses, pirates, beach, winter, animals, flowers, glitter, dollies, teddies, mermaids, ponies. A theme for everyone. We can suggest some of our favorite backdrop vendors with designed sets so that all you have to do is choose the one your love best! We will order your child’s cake based on your ideas and theme. We pick up your cake, so it’s one less thing you have to worry about handling on picture day! All you have to do is show up.

Before your smash we try to always capture some family and parent poses with your little one. These are genearlly done in the studio but depending on the time of year we can also offer an outdoor location around Kansas City or Lansing, KS. After those are completed, you can change baby into another outfit for some individual one-year portraits. We typically do 2-3 individual sets then move on to the smash. We try to have the set all ready to go before your session, so all we have to do is bring out the cake and let baby start smashing!

Once we bring out the cake, the photo session usually takes about 10-15 minutes. We let baby set the pace, as some little ones are eager to dig into the cake and others are a little more hesitant. Some parents are disappointed if baby doesn’t smash the cake right away. Patience and a break for baby are sometimes necessary, but I assure you we will get some good pictures of this event! No matter what their reaction is, it is a unique memory and will be fun to look at years from now!

The next part is generally baby's favorite. A clean up bubble bath! This allows baby to get scrubbed up after making a mess and they love to splash in the bubbles. This part always get the best smiles! Generally we shoot these in the "birthday suit", we just add a bit of bubbles to cover the top of the water. Baby is also able to wear a little top or bathing suit if requested.

The best part for parents: we take care of the cleanup in the studio. And if there is any cake left over, you get to take it with you!
